Vanessa Loves Food

One of my favorite memories as a kid is making pancakes with my father on Saturday mornings. Those were the days when I needed to kneel on a chair in order to see the tabletop. I would help crack the eggs and stir the batter. I'm sure he had to scoop out countless pieces of egg shell schrapnel in the early days, but my dad never said a word. For me, I just remember having so much fun.

That's when my love of food and cooking began. My foundation is home-style Chinese cuisine from helping my mother. As a college student, I developed a knack for frugal cooking. Then I donned my chef's coat at Le Cordon Bleu Hollywood to learn classic culinary techniques and graduated at the top of my class in 2008; and honed my skills under the tutelage of Suzanne Goin at Lucques in Los Angeles, California.

I'm looking forward to sharing my culinary adventures and creating deliciously fun memories with my twin babies, Charlie and Ella, soon.
